    My problem:

    Based on an average solar energy flux in W/m2, I need to generate heat on top of a roof to understand heat conductivity through this roof on a given time of day. How can I translate average solar energy flux to solar rays and solar heat generation in Energy2D?

    I.E. if solar energy flux is 700W/m2 and roof has a surface area 1m2, how can I determine how many solar rays and what heat flux in W/m3 would approximate the same heat captured by the roof?

    Hope the problem is clear enough.

    The ray simulation in Energy2D is meant to be educational. Use it only if you are looking for qualitative results. Hope this helps.

    Do you have any references that explain the sunlight model and its parameters to propose ?

    Unfortunately, I haven’t got time to write documentations and tutorials. Hopefully, I will be able to do those in the future.
